We order from a wood-fired oven place called Firezza, and that gooey, cheesy slice covered with rocket and prosciutto and black olives... heaven!

I don't like pre-cooked beets because they are too soft. Also, beware because some of them are soaked in malt vinegar which is very sour, I find. Plus I just find messing with beets to be fun.

Casey: thank you.Kristen In Londonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812033421757298431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19954511.post-5791310531391757962010-01-18T19:01:25.325+00:002010-01-18T19:01:25.325+00:00another gorgeously written post.another gorgeously written post.Caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17818122668387271464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19954511.post-35202455005966726632010-01-18T17:34:16.976+00:002010-01-18T17:34:16.976+00:00I hope you won't be offended but I am so happy...I hope you won't be offended but I am so happy to hear that you do occasionally order in a pizza! The beets and mushrooms are a very Russian combination - I must try both. Have you ever used the vacuum packed pre-cooked beets they sell in the supermarkets here? I have used them in a soup, but would they taste as good eaten in a salad do you think? (Probably not...)A Work in Progresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12013534732589707224noreply@blogger.com
